- Instagram shows your content to 7% of your audience and if they don’t engage, the algorithm won’t show it to more people. This is completely false. Your post appears on every single one of your follower’s feeds if they keep scrolling long enough, but Instagram will show them more of what they’ve liked before.
- You have to engage with people 30 minutes after posting otherwise your engagement will be low. Totally untrue, in fact it’s better to reply with longer meaningful comments than quickly responding with an emoji.
- Instagram ‘shadow bans’ users. There’s no such thing as shadow-banning. Instagram will suspend you if you violate its terms of service which include behaviour like mass following.
